The industry group recorded a net profit plummeting in 2015. Sulzer expects a decline in orders in 2016.
The Zurich industrial group Sulzer recorded a net profit of 73.9 million francs in 2015, falling by 73.1% compared to 2014. The turnover for its part, contracted by 7.5% 2.9 billion, said Thursday in a statement the company.
Adjusted for currency effects, sales fell by only 3.2%. At the operational level, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) however found the black numbers, from 69 million francs in 2014 to 120.9 million at the end of 2015. The order intake, for their , decreased by 8.4% (3.7% excluding currency effects) to 2.9 billion Swiss francs.
Building on a continued low oil prices, Sulzer expects a decrease in orders and sales in the range of 5 to 10% in 2016, adjusted for currency effects. (Ats / nxp)
