Global Market. In 2015 and 2016, smartphone sales rose again in the world while selling prices declined. Global sales of smart phones increased by 7% in volume in 2015. A similar increase is expected this year.

More than 1.3 billion smartphones were sold worldwide in 2015, 7% more than in 2014, according to a study released Monday by the German consulting firm GfK. But the average selling price of appliances having declined by 2%, turnover grew only 5%, to $ 399 billion (about 387 billion).

GfK expects a new 7% increase in volumes sold in 2016 to 1.4 billion units. The average handset prices continuing to fall, the higher turnover should be limited to 0.5%, to just over the 400 billion, according to the consultancy.
